Our family has been working in the Toyota spare parts industry since the 1980s. Back then, most of the business was with workshops and dealers. We’d supply them with parts, and they’d install them for their customers.
Over the years, we noticed the same problem keep happening. Regular car owners would come to workshops with parts they’d bought from random shops. The workshop would tell them the part was fake or the wrong fitment. The customer would have to buy another part, and they’d feel cheated because they’d already spent money once.
Why We Built GearsWow
Regular people don’t have access to the verification process that workshops use
Workshops know how to check if parts are genuine. They have contacts with reliable suppliers. They’ve been burned before, so they’re careful. But if you’re just a car owner trying to fix your vehicle, you don’t have any of that. You walk into a shop, the guy shows you a part, and you have no way to verify if it’s real. You trust him because what choice do you have? We built GearsWow to change that. We wanted regular car owners to have the same verification access that workshops have always had.

The Market Problem
People can’t tell if spare parts are genuine, and it’s costing them money
The spare parts market in Pakistan has a serious authenticity problem. There are at least 10 different types of counterfeit Toyota parts being sold right now. Some are cheap copies made in unknown factories. Some are “Thailand grade” or “Taiwan grade” parts that aren’t actually made to the same standards as OEM parts, even though sellers claim they are.
For someone who doesn’t work in this industry, it’s nearly impossible to tell the difference just by looking. The packaging is copied. The part numbers match. Sometimes even the weight is similar.
What happens then?
→ People buy what they think is genuine
→ Pay fair price or sometimes overpay
→ Install it
→ Few months later, it fails
→ Or they discover it never fit correctly
→ Now there’s additional damage to the car
This doesn’t just affect individual car owners. Workshops face this problem too. If they buy from unreliable suppliers, they risk installing bad parts in their customers’ vehicles. That destroys trust and costs them repeat business.
Our Vision
Today
We specialize in Toyota, Lexus, and Daihatsu parts in Karachi. Deliveries cover the entire city. Retail focus is on DHA, Clifton, and PECHS, while workshops in all areas rely on us for verified genuine parts.
Next 2 Years
Expansion to Lahore and Islamabad. Honda and Changan will be added to our inventory. We will build an improved online platform to make ordering easier.
Next 5 Years
Nationwide reach, becoming Pakistan’s main platform for verified spare parts. We plan to launch company-owned service stations or partner with trusted workshops to provide reliable service across the country.
